CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD IS BACK AND FOLLOWS THE SUNDAY RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASS SCHEDULE

Children's Liturgy of the Word refers to children leaving the Sunday assembly just before the first reading and gathering elsewhere to celebrate a separate Liturgy of the Word that is more appropriate to their level of understanding. As they become comfortable with their involvement at liturgies and develop a sense of belonging in the community, it is hoped and anticipated that they will continue to grow as faithful, practicing members.
We welcome children from about the age of 4. Parents are invited to accompany the very young until they are comfortable joining us on their own.
The children may continue to participate until they receive their 1st communion, then we would like them to join the Liturgy of the Word with the rest of the congregation.
